Biography for Jay Blankenship

Jay Blankenship earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree and a M.A. Degree in Human Resource Development from Webster University. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from South Carolina State University. Mr. Blankenship is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator.
While serving in the department of Admissions at Clemson University, he was a Chairman of the South Carolina Guidance Counselor Bus Tour. Throughout his nationwide travel, he was able to familiarize countless students, parents, and school administrators to the University admissions process.

He is the recipient of many awards and has been recognized for excellence by multiple businesses, organizations, and institutions. Recently, Jay was honored as one of three individuals making a difference in Anderson, South Carolina by the Anderson Independent-Mail, and he was recognized for his Upstate community contributions by Greenville's WJMZ Radio. He was also selected as a 'Real Father Real Man' by the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning show.

Mr. Blankenship is an author and a seasoned lecturer having spoken at educational, business, community, religious, and fraternal conferences and seminars. He has been featured in multiple print, audio, and visual media. Early in his career, Jay served as a partner in the Bryant Group, a small business consulting firm that was located in downtown Charleston, SC. His firm was also featured in an edition of the Charleston Business Review.
In 1991, he founded Project Life Foundation, Inc. to provide a voice to the youth and the underrepresented population. The foundation has provided a voice for thousands of youth and has served as a catalyst for change in the community.
Jay has also served on the Anderson County Economic Advisory Board and the Metro Charleston Chamber of Commerce Education Board.
