Adult Learning Institutions
Trident Technical College is a public, two-year, multi-campus community college that provides quality education and promotes economic development in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.
An open-door institution of higher education, the college serves approximately 12,000 traditional and nontraditional curriculum students who have a wide variety of educational goals, from personal enrichment to career development to university transfer. To help students meet their goals, TTC offers university transfer associate degrees and applied technical associate degrees, diplomas and certificates. The curriculum includes programs in arts and sciences, agriculture, business, computer technology, engineering technology, health sciences, industrial technology, and public service. TTC students draw on knowledge from a broad range of disciplines to develop the communication and critical thinking skills that are fundamental to lifelong learning.
Lowcountry Graduate Center Created through a partnership of the College of Charleston, The Citadel and the Medical University of South Carolina, the Lowcountry Graduate Center (LGC) was developed to expand the opportunities for graduate education in the Lowcountry. The LGC is working to add graduate programs that will have the greatest impact on the economic development of the region. The LGC is located in North Charleston, on the road to the airport, and is home to the College of Charleston North Campus.
Southern Wesleyan University's Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS) program provides accelerated learning systems for working adults. Efficient curriculum plans that fit today's busy lifestyles. Streamlined registration procedures and convenient class scheduling enable mature professionals to further their education and build rewarding futures.
Thanks to the abundance of support and faith instilled in our goals, the South Carolina Hispanic Outreach vision has become a reality. As we approach our 11th year, we know how much more needs to be done to bridge the cultural gap for future generations in the United States.

The mission of the Office of Adult and Community Education (OACE) is to communicate a vision of collaboration for identifying community needs and resources in organizing school/community based educational programs designed to provide lifelong learning, health, and service opportunities for all, and to provide the necessary leadership and resources for the development of those programs.
